 There are many so called software packages available in the technology market today. Many say they are digital documents and have the ability to save and store your records in a digital format either through optical or digital scanning processes.
This is very true in 99% of the cases out there but these digital providers do not provide digitized documents. Digitized documents do not come out of a box where one application fits all comers. Digitized documents are application specific documents which begin their origination in digital format "not paper" and they can be edited and stored in a real time environment. They aren't stored in an image filing cabinet like scanned documents, the data not the image is stored in an inter-relational database. There is a huge difference between digitally scanned and digitized documentation.
